Preamble to the Constitution of The American Legion

Our Warriors for Freedom!

The American Legion and Post 13 support all of our military personnel and loved ones no matter which branch of the armed services they have chosen.   It is they who are

holding the front lines and defending our freedoms from those who would, without remorse, destroy our way of life.  Keep those letters and emails to them going and be an encouragement to them.  They need to know that ALL is well here at home.

"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional as to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation." -- George Washington --

"A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life."
