Together, we make a difference

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

Thank you for thinking of joining our post. Dues are $35 per year. The American Legion requires us to see your DD-214 when you are signing up at the post. A Florida driver’s license with the veteran endorsement is accepted as well.

Please fill out the below form and either mail or bring it to the post on the 2nd Thursday at 7:25 pm during the membership meeting. Other times are available but they must be arraigned ahead of time.
